Lama Dawa Rinpoche gives instruction on how to make offerings to the nagas from a text by Dudjom Lingpa. Part 2.
In the months before Lama Dawa’s parinirvana, he wrote many poems and dohas about death and dying. Here he shares his writings with a private group and translates them for us. Recorded September, 2017.
In this intimate and engaging teaching, Lama Dawa gives a reading tranmission and a translation on-the-fly, along with commentary on the text, “DAM-NGAG MAR-GYI YANG-ZHUN;” a terma revelation by Dorje Lingpa. This special teaching is of the genre of ‘liberation upon hearing’ in which Padmasambhava claimed one could become liberated from the three lower realms by hearing this teaching three times. The teaching is followed by a lively discussion and question and answer period, and also includes Lama Dawa bestowing the lung two more times so that participants would hear this three times. This teaching was given to a small group in Sonoma, CA in 2008.
Part 2 of Dzogchen teachings given by Acharya Dawa Chhodak Rinpoche in Lansing, Iowa, in 2009; based on texts by Jamgon Kongrul and Dudjom Rinpoche.
